Many more books in the Library
Make sure to drop in regularly because The Bookworm’s buying partner in the States continues to supply new non-fiction titles. Our fiction section meanwhile is growing by the day through kind donations from members and people leaving China. We now have 25,000 titles across our three locations!

New Books for Sale
The Bookworm is building relationships with overseas publishers to grow our catalogue of new books for sale.

For Sinophiles, we have new stocks of our all-time best-selling books Mr China by Tim Clissold (120RMB) and The Chinese (170RMB) by Jasper Becker. We also have a brand new batch of the much-requested China Shakes the World (195RMB), by James Kynge, as well as a fabulous range of fiction from Chinese authors and from those further afield using China as their subject matter.

Our range of general fiction continues to grow exponentially, and we’re now proud to feature literature from authors as diverse and distinguished as Rushdie, Garcia Marquez, Kafka, Atwood, Murakami, Zadie and Ali Smith, and Orhan Pamuk.

Check out our great selection of travel titles in the bookshop too, where we have guides from some of the biggest names in travel publishing – Lonely Planet, Rough Guide and Time Out.
