Information for Press
Looking for a Bookworm speaker, or details of our event programmes? Please contact us here with all media enquiries. |
Information For Prospective Speakers and Performers
If you are interested in talking or performing at The Bookworm, we’d love to hear from you, Click here to email us your short introduction as follows. We invite you to supply us with a summary of your talk or programme, ideally accompanied by a sample copy of your book. Timing is crucial in order for us to arrange your event, order book stock, and to successfully market your event. We generally prepare schedules at least 6 weeks ahead of each event, so make sure you contact us well in advance. All our events are tailored to the specific topic at hand. However, as a general guide, talks begin at 7.30pm in the evening, and last around an hour. We advise speakers to present for around 40 minutes, leaving 20 minutes for our (extremely astute) audiences to ask questions. We invite all our visiting authors to participate in book signings following each event. Events held at The Bookworm at no charge to the speaker are those which we have deemed to be directly in line with the tastes and interests of our community. From time to time we host events outside of our core focus. Where those talks have a commercial aspect, we need to let our customers know, and brand the talks appropriately. If your event is of a commercial nature, please expect a hire fee accordingly. We are committed to never spamming our audiences! |
