Bookworm 10 Anniversary Week Commence

Bookworm 10 display case

Bookworm 10 Anniversary Week has begun! If you can’t find an event for you in our display above, let us give you a closer look:

Saturday (today, 9/19), noon to 7 pm: Beijing Flea Market, upstairs on the roof. There are more than 20 vendors who taken together have a little something for everyone. Many of the items are 100 RMB and below, and many go toward a great cause. We will also have some secondhand books to sell for 5 RMB each. All free to browse.

Saturday, 8 pm: The China 10 Game Show, hosted by Kaiser Kuo, a Jeopardy!-style competition that pits four foreign correspondents against one another in a three-round, multi-category free-for-all. Winner takes home pride and a J visa. There will also be lots of audience questions and prizes to give away! (50 RMB / 40 RMB members)

Sunday, noon to 5 pm: Farm to Neighbors: Erica Huang brings her wildly successful and popular farmers’ market to The Bookworm’s rooftop! Grass-fed meats, fresh veggies, award-winning cheeses, pasture-raised chicken, chutney, organic honey, fresh-baked bread, and so much more (such as natural skincare products, handmade toothpaste, bags, etc.). Come discover how succulent healthy living truly can be. Free to browse.

Sunday, 8 pm: The very funny Wil Sylvince — former writer of Chappelle’s Show, emcee at New York’s famous Comedy Cellar, two-time headliner at the Melbourne Comedy Festival — headlines Bookworm Comedy Night, featuring openings by Storm Xu (“the future of comedy in China”) and Beijing’s own Paul Creasy. (150 RMB preasale / 180 RMB door)

And there’s much more during the week – events every day, culminating in a party on Saturday, September 26. Check out our full anniversary week events schedule here.

All tickets are on Yoopay — please see this schedule of events for appropriate links — but also reservable via [email protected] / 6503 2050.
