Wining & Dining
The Bookworm continues to attract gastronomes and casual diners alike. Our no-nonsense menu is tasty and wholesome, freshly prepared to your liking by our team of expert chefs. Reading is thirsty work and we don’t want you getting parched among the parchments. The Bookworm bar staff are on hand to proffer your desired elixir as you continue turning the pages. Frothy cappuccino, strong espresso, refreshing tea, multicoloured cocktails, cold beer, fruity shakes, full-bodied reds, crisp whites, chilled bubbles for those unexpected celebrations… now, what can we get you?
The Bookworm Food Menu
Just some of the items on offer all day, every day:
Whether you take it peaty or floral, rich or light, neat or on the rocks, from Islay, Speyside, the Highlands, Lowlands, or even Campbeltown, The Bookworm’s whisky bar probably has what you’re looking for. If the velvety rolling overtones of Bowmore are not for your palate, maybe the delicate warming vapours of Glenmorangie might be. Or why not just tell us which one you like — our selection includes more than 30 whiskies, including Bruichladdich, Glendronach, Aberlour, Scapa, Ardbeg and so many more. (We have some very nice bourbons and blended malts, too.)
Think you know gin, or simply want to learn more? Then you must visit The Bookworm to try the above-pictured handcrafted, small-batch gins from Oregon, USA. They’re good for both sipping and cocktails.
For more information, please visit our gin page.
Here’s just a small sampling of our popular cocktails. There are many more on offer — just ask our servers!
