Announcing: The Beijing Flea Market, this Saturday on our roof

The Beijing Flea Market

Clothes, shoes, jewelry, accessories, soaps, trinkets … artwork, books, magazines, hand-designed cellphone cases … homemade cookies, mango lassies, sangria … plus friendly faces, curated music, and (hopefully) sun … all in one place! This Saturday, July 11, The Bookworm is hosting the Beijing Flea Market on our rooftop starting at noon until sundown. At least 15 vendors will be there to present an incredibly diverse spread of fresh food and cool merchandise. Come buy or just browse.

The market is organized by Jessica Rapp, who has been involved with the Farm to Neighbor’s Market, a spring fashion market at Aotu Studio and one at Meridian Space. She’ll be curating a selection of secondhand menswear and womenswear as part of Thrift.

Among tons of fashionable secondhand vendors from the Beijing community, there are three vendors donating ALL of their proceeds to charities helping Nepal, including Nepal Mandal relief campaign (hosted by Living Nepal), Color Nepal and First Steps Himalaya (hosted by the jewelry brand Vixen).

Made by Mir, which does eco-friendly and sustainable tote bags and jewelry, is also confirmed, along with the fashionable Yi Zhou of the brand Body Memory, who’ll bring along a batch of secondhand clothes.

Additionally, Big Bear Baked Goods and Sweet Tart Bakery will sell baked goods, Reshma Khan will offer mango lassies and chutneys to take home, and The Bookworm will be making lots of sangria for cheap.

DJ Cousin Kippy will bring along his fantastic selection of summer rooftop tunes. Grab a drink and hang out a while!
